Access denied on Windows 2003 server

Post by kentroylance » Mon Apr 04, 2005 11:44 am

I am using version 3.0.5

Do you know why I would be getting this error "The connection to the server failed: server cannot be contacted or uses a protocol that is not supported by this client. Access is denied." when using the command line to get the lastest source from Vault.

Using the Vault client works just fine. I am also using FinalBuilder to get source, and that works fine.

Appreciate any help,

Kent

uses a protocol that is not supported by this client.
This is a common error when the version of the Vault client doesn't match the server version. But if you're using vault.exe from the same directory as a working Vault GUI client, this is unlikely.

Is there anything in the sgvault.log file that provides more information? The log is in the Vault server %windir%\temp\sgvault directory.

It might also be helpful to see the command you are using. You can post it here (minus any passwords, etc.) or email it to Linda at Sourcegear.com.
