Status Window:

Is there a method for copying text from the Status Window?

We have a policy at our company to post a message to our development team every time a check-in is made, so everyone is up to snuff on the latest changes. In SourceSafe, CVS, or AlienBrain, this is usually done by simply highlighting and copying the text from the output window and pasting it into an email message. However, with SoS 3.5.3, I can't find a way to easily do this.

Any ideas? Feature request? Is this available in 4.1?

There's no way to copy the status pane in either SOS 3.5.3 or 4.x.

SOS 4.1 does have the ability to provide a report on history results for a folder, which includes checkin. The downside is that the VSS automation component provides the name of the file checked in, but not the name of a file when it is added to the database, so your info may not be complete.

I'll add the ability to copy the status window as a feature request in our database.
