When I connect using the SourceOffSite client (I have tried from more than one machine), it now times out after about 30 seconds

I believe this used to work -- I'm not sure why the behavior changed.

Re: Unable to download project tree...
Hello,
We have a few questions we'd like to ask in order to troubleshoot the issue.
1) Can other SOS user's connect without experiencing this issue?
2) Can you please find out of anything has changed on your network?
3) Have you tried restarting the SOS server?
If the problem continues, please send your server log to support@sourcegear.com.
Thanks,
Tonya

Re: Unable to download project tree...
1) No. I have confirmed this from multiple clients
2) I believe just the usual suspects (windows updates/etc). Visual Source safe direct seems to be fine -- the issue appears to be with the SourceOnSitte server.
3) Yes -- I rebooted the server earlier today.
I pasted in the log in the original message, but I will contact your support

Re: Unable to download project tree...
For future reference, the cause of the problem was corruption in our VSS database. This was causing the SoS to crash (without leaving informative errors behind). Running a VSS repair operation resolved the problems. Thanks support!

Thank you for sharing the resolution.
