Hallo,
I try to split a large repository into several small repositories using Folder Export/Import and run in all kind of problems:
- Export of one folder aborts with some obscure database errors
- I exported a small folder and inported it again. UI showed sucess, but on export much more transactions were counted then on import and the history was completly missing
- Even if it worked it would take such a long time, that this whole process would take weeks
Any suggestions how I should proceed to split the repository?
Is it a good idea to split the repositoriy? My concern is, that we run into problems if the repository keeps growing
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Vault Export/Import not working
Could you post the errors or your Vault server log found on the Vault server at %windir%\temp\sgvault\sgvault.log and the Vault export import log found in %temp% (C:\users\<your username>\appdata\local\temp)? You can send logs to support at sourcegear.com.

Re: Vault Export/Import not working
I get this issue too.
Error:
Last sentence of the error = "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Ron: Do you have an obliterates in the repository?
In order to really troubleshoot Export/Import errors, it's best to look at it offline. I'll want to see transaction numbers, some history, and will send a query or two to dig into the information. Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com with a link to this forum thread?
gmdl: Same answer for you. This would take more digging.
