Abandon files in vault

Imagine you change your code and get some files that is not in use anymore. However to keep the history it would be nice if the files remained in Vault, even they are not in use.
How is that possible?

-- Delete the files. They aren't seen, but are still in the database.
-- Move the files into a cloaked folder.
