Vault 6.0 install fails due to IIS 5.1 issue
We are looking at adding source control at my company and I had used Vault in the past so wanted to give it a try again 7+ years later. I am trying to install the 6.0 version and am having issues.
I am running windows 7, 64-bit.
I have IIS 6.0 installed
I have SQL Server 2012 installed
When I try to run the VaultProServer64_6_0_1_30598.msi, I get the following:
SourceGear Vault Professional Server 64-bit cannot be installed on systems with Internet Information Services version lower than 5.1.
I have checked the knowledge base and found the article about permissions in the registry. I am an admin on my machine, I have disabled our anti-virus software and I still get the same error.
Getting a bit frustrated since it's advertised as "easy to install".
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you have IIS 6.0, not IIS 7.x on your Windows 7 machine?

Re: Vault 6.0 install fails due to IIS 5.1 issue
You could try running the Vault Server installer "as admin" from a command prompt.
To run Command Prompt as Adminstrator, If you're on Windows 7 or Windows 2008, click the Start button and type "cmd" in the search box. You should see "cmd.exe" listed in the search results. Right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator."
Then cd to the Vault server installer directory and type the name of the installer and hit return. The installer will run as Administrator.
Let me know if this does not resolve the problem.

Re: Vault 6.0 install fails due to IIS 5.1 issue
The machine that we are attempting the install on has ended up in a bad state, so we are going to re-image it and try again. If we still have issues after the re-image, I will send an email. Otherwise I will post our success.
Re: Vault 6.0 install fails due to IIS 5.1 issue
Ok, let us know. A VM or machine in a bad state isn't a good candidate for a Vault installation.
