Why can't SOS do a rollback as VSS can?

Why can't SOS do a rollback like VSS can?
When I look at the file history there is no Rollback button. Why?

SOS communicates with the VSS database via the SourceSafe Automation Component. The Automation Component doesn't support Rollback, so SOS isn't able to provide that feature.
