admin password reset?

we need to reset or admin password of our current installation

every post on here states that the only way to do this is to re-install the server - please tell me this is not the case - is there absolutley no way that the admin password can be reset without a re-install?

Yes, you must reinstall.

If we had an easy password reset for Admin think what a security risk that would be. Someone could post it on the Internet and all Vault installations would be at risk of being hacked.

Reinstalling doesn't mean losing your data. That's stored in SQL Server.

Steps:

First, backup your sgvault and sgmaster databases. Then uninstall Vault Server, keeping the databases when prompted.

Next, reinstall Vault Server. pointing the installer to the database location. The installer will give you an opportunity to create a new Admin password.
