File is missing in the vault

I have a some files that is missing on the source gear on my pc, as in no files, but on the other pc's the file is available and they can access it. Is there something wrong with my connection to the server or it is a problem with my source gear configuration.

Are you seeing a "missing" status in the Vault client file list? If so, this can mean that the file is in the repository but not in your working folder. You can do a Get Latest to get the file to your working folder.

Another possibility is that you have no working folder set for that particular repository folder. So the file status is "missing." In that case, you would need to right-click on the folder in the repository tree and choose Set Working Folder, then do a Get Latest to bring the files into that directory on your local machine.

Let me know if you are experiencing something different.

thanks for the reply lbauer. i know the get latest functionality of the source gear. actually the file is missing litterally, as in totally gone. but on the other pc where my co-developer work, the file is there. i'am using visual studio 2010.
few days ago the file is in my source gear vault and i can do the get latest, check in, check out to that file but after few days i noticed that the file icon on my solution explorer in visual studio become yellow cross or add, i tried to check in but error popped up "the check in/commit transaction failed". i also tried to add this file but nothing happened. i checked the file to my vault and it is gone, but on the other pc the file is available.

One of you may have an incorrect view of the repository tree.

I'd suggest deleting the client-side cache, as it may be out of sync with the database. Close any open clients first.
