Archiving Question

Post by madhouse92 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 4:29 am

Apologies if this a "dumb" question but I'm fairly new to SourceGear Vault Pro and am still looking at whether it does what I need it to do. My question is regarding archving, specifically whether files are (or can be) automatically archived when they're checked back in to the repository? Some background........I want to use SourceGear Vault Pro to control the source code for my companies intranet. I'm currently the only developer who works on the intranet but that may soon change. The one thing that I would ideally like is the ability for files to be automatically archived when they're checked back into the repository. The idea being that if for whatever reason I need to go back to an older version of the file, I can easily get it restored. Has or does SourceGear Vault Pro provide the ability to do this?

SourceGear Vault will keep every version that you check into it and any past version can be retrieved. If you delete something, it will still be possible to restore it as well.
