Sharing Folder - creates issues whiel checking in

Post by rags1234 » Thu Sep 29, 2011 6:58 am

Hi

We are using Source Vault Std 5.1.1 which we upgraded from lower version 5 months before . One of the folders is shared with other folder called "Build" to have a copy of modified files available to enable easy solution building. This Build folder contains 4 set of BL and DA files and we used to take build after getting latest versions which we used to do in our old version (3.1.x) without any issues. But when we do the same in the new version, we get FileDb Insert/update error while checking in the files. We have to remove sharing and do checking in every time. But when we do this way, it corrupts the repository in the database. We have to restore the database again, clear Source Vault profile in client systems and reinstall Source Vault Server. Then only we are able to work on other folders in the repository. Otherwise, when a developer is clicking the Repository, it shows " No Rights to the folder..."

Are we missing anything which is supposed to be done on Sharing ?

I'll need to see the Vault Server Log and a few screenshots showing the issue. Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
