I have an open source project the I program in VB.NET and I keep in Vault. I'm fairly new to source control in general.
Up to now when I release a new version of my solution I have been simply zipping my solution folder and putting the zip file in the downloads directory of my web site. I am certain, though, that my solution still has bindings to my source cntrol and that makes life difficult for those who download my source code.
I have briefly explored the 'Unbind' option in the 'Change Source Control' dialog but I'm prompted with an unclear message that seems to be telling me that my solution will be removed from Vault... It seems like the right option but the message have made me wary. The documentaton seems to assume I already know what I'm doing.
What do I need to do in order to remove the source control bindings so the user has a hassle free experience but without loosing my own ability to continue keeping my solution in Vault.
remove all source control bindings from solution?
