Merging with comments

Hello everyone,

Wanted to ask whether it is possible to merge comments of each item in change sets that are being merged? To be more specific, I have one branch where I develop a specific feature which involves adding new files and editing existing ones. While developing I am adding comments for each item in the change set. Development branch is a temporary branch and it will end its life when feature is done and merged back to mainline branch. After merging changes back to mainline branch, I cannot find comments I made for each items in the development branch. Is there any way I could preserve them without doing it manually?

Currently, only change set comments are merged, rather than individual item comments.

We have feature request 9340 logged for this functionality; I'll add your vote.

It will be evaluated for an upcoming release of Vault.
