Failed to check in one or more files. Some files remain chec

Post by btd » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:38 am

I branched my project successfully but when I open VS.net 2008, one of the projects simply won't bind. I tried unloading and removing and then re-adding. Everytime I try checking in the project, I get the above message.

Any ideas?

Are you using the Vault Classic Client or the Vault Enhanced Client? That setting is found in the VS Tools - Options - Source Control - Plugin.

The why is so that I give you the instructions particular to the client you are using.

If your solution file is located above all the projects, then you can try a new open. Go to File - Source Control - Open from Source Control. This should set the bindings.

If that doesn't work, then open the solution in VS, click ok to any errors, and choose the option to permanently remove bindings if that option is offered. Then go to File - Source Control - Change Source Control. Select all lines, click Unbind, then Ok. Perform a Save All. Then return to File - Source Control - Change Source Control, click on one line that represents a project and not the solution file, then click bind. You will do that for each line and bind the solution file last. Then click OK and check in the changes.
