Specify Work Item from Command Line Client?

We have some developers running linux and using the java command line client. They want to be able to associate their chick-ins with a work item that has been created. How can we specify the work item for a commit of a changeset from the java command line client?

The Fortress Command Line Client does not support updating Item tracking with checkins or adds, but that's a good idea.

I've logged feature request 15593 for this functionality. It will be evaluated for an upcoming release of Fortress.
