Hello,
I was wondering if there was an End of Life document for Vault and its many versions. What we are concerned about is how long previous versions of Vault will be supported and for how long or if this is a non-issue. Please let me know as it would help try to gauge when we can plan for upgrades and such.
Thanks,

Re: Vault EOL Document
We don't have an EOL document, because we don't currently have plans for dropping support for previous Vault versions.
Because of evolving technology, however, older versions of Vault may not work on newer operating systems or with newer versions of Visual Studio or SQL Server. For instance, versions prior to Vault 5.0.x are not fully supported with Windows 7, Windows server 2008 R2, and Visual Studio 2010.
When you upgrade your machines and other development tools, it makes sense to upgrade Vault as well. If you are several versions out of date, we provide detailed steps for upgrading to the latest version. It's usually just a matter of upgrading incrementally. If you're on Vault 4.1.x, upgrading is simple -- backup your database and run the 5.0.x installer over your current server and client installations.
If you purchase annual maintenance for your licenses, you qualify for free upgrades, and the price is less than if you wait until you are a few versions out of date. Then you can always be on the latest version and be assured of full support.
