Project refresh is not working

Hi,
just a note. If you have two VS solutions sharing some set of projects, and you check out one such project and later do a checkin, then in the other solution, you can press Refresh button but it will not refresh lock status of files. The other solution will always show files as checked out, although they were checked-in in the other solution. If you try to check them in, you get error like 'file is not locked' or smth like that

We'll look into this. What version of SOS are you using? What version of Visual Studio?

SOS 4.2.x(file version 4.1.2.242)
VS 2008 sp1(help->about: 9.0.30729.1 SP)
can't tell version of source safe.

Thanks. We haven't tested VS 2008 with SOS 4.2. Full support will come with SOS 5.0, due out later this year. Meanwhile, we'll try to reproduce this here and log a bug.
