Vault client unusably slow in Windows Server 2008 64-bit

Post by splendidcrm » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:09 pm

I'm trying to setup a new workstation (2.8GHz dual proc, quad core, Xeon, 12G RAM, 15K SAS) and all is wonderful except for Vault. Every operation takes too long. I've searched the forum and found others with a Windows 2008 issue, but no solution. This appears to be a client-only issue as my other systems, running Windows Server 2003 32-bit, operate fast and flawlessly. The interesting thing is that we do have a remote W2K8 64-bit system that is working fine and fast, but this new internal machine is giving us trouble. Can you suggest any solutions?

This Vault client is version 4.1.4.18402
Your Vault server is version 4.1.4.18402

I've noticed that GetRepositoryStructure is taking longer than expected:

The client is installed on Windows 2008 64-bit Server or is that the Vault server that is installed there?

On the slow client, could you open the Vault GUI client, connect to a repository, and go to Help - Technical Support? Then copy that information in a post here.

Is the SQL Server on the same machine as the Vault server or a different machine?
