Unit Test project doesnt show vault status
I have a solution with 30+ projects in it, I added a VS.NET 2008 VB Unit Test project ot the solution at hte solutions root level and there is no status icons for check in and check out next to the project while all the other projects have the lock icon next to them... however I can check in and check it out and its status and files do change in the vault... but there is no status icon at all next to that project (along with all the files under it) I am also seeing something similar on local file system web projects where there is no check in and checked out status icon next to the project or any folders under it in the web project, but the actual files do have status icons in the solution explorer tree... This has started to happen in the latest vault 4.1.x and up builds... didn't happen in the past
Re: Unit Test project doesnt show vault status
Are you using the classic or enhanced client? That would be listed in VS Tools - Options - Source Control.
Can you go into the window where one changes the bindings? That's under File - Source Control and then would be either Change Vault Bindings or Change Source Control. In there, do you see the projects listed that don't have locks. Do they have a status of valid?

Re: Unit Test project doesnt show vault status
Enahnced client in VS 2008... Bindings are all valid except hte unit test project which says not bound, but it was just created and when it was created valut also created a copy in source control! so it put it in source control, but did not bind it... I'm a little confused on that and if i make a change it shows up in the vault version
Re: Unit Test project doesnt show vault status
I would suggest unbinding it and then rebinding it. You will go to File - Source Control - Change Vault Bindings. Select the project that is a problem and click Unbind. Then click OK and Save All to disk. then return to the Change Vault Bindings window, select the project and click Bind. Once you finish binding it, let me know your results.
