Testing e-mail connectivity from server

Post by jfuex » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:06 pm

I am troubleshooting an issue with Vault not sending out e-mail notifications and was wondering if there is a button somewhere on the server module that allows you to kick off a testing e-mail for troubleshooting purposes.

If not, this would be a nice (and simple) feature for future versions.

We don't have a test button, but that sounds like a good idea. I'll log it as a feature request.

Let us know if you need assistance with your troubleshooting -- check the Vault server log and your SMTP log for any errors.

Troubleshooting e-mail connectivity

One more thing. I checked the help files, but they are a little ambiguous on this point. When I am monitoring a file, what activities will trigger a notification?

Checkins, adds, deletes, renames, etc. Generally whenever the file or folder your are watching is modified. No notification for labels.
