Process is running even after I close Visual Studio 2008

Hello,

I use Vault with Visual Studio 2008.

I noticed before I launch Visual Studio, the Vault databases (.mdf files) are accessible to move/copy/etc because they are not being used by another process.

However, after I close Visual Studio 2008, I cannot do any moving or copying of those databases (I do this via a batch file) because it tells me they are being used by another process.

Which process is using them?

The Vault web service may be using them. Try stopping IIS with the iisreset /stop command from a command prompt. You should detach your databases before moving them.
