Sorry, I'm sure this is a very basic thing. I just can't seem to find out how to do it.
I have a data folder containing files that are constantly being written/overwritten by my program. I just put my project under source control and realized that all the data files had been put under control. This is not what I want -- I want to exclude this folder.
Exactly how do you do this? The help file is not being very helpful, or I am not searching for the right thing ...
Thanks,
Cynthia
I should mention that I am using the latest version of Vault (4.something), Visual Studio 2005, and it's a Web Site project.
How to exclude a folder from source control

Re: How to exclude a folder from source control
@cdubose - did you figure this out? I need to exclude certain files and folders from a project as well. However, I use Eclipse and the Vault plugin for Eclipse. Each time I select the root folder of the project and choose to checkin then my .project file shows up and I don't want that file checked in.
Re: How to exclude a folder from source control
Does everyone on your project want to exlude the .project file or just for yourself?
