Can't Rollback

Post by rschiefer » Tue Jun 03, 2008 7:30 am

In preparation for a merge, I labeled a branch "Pre Merge". I attempted a merge but it didn't work out so I want to rollback to the "Pre Merge" state. So I viewed the history found the label and right clicked to rollback but the "Rollback" option is grayed out.

Why can't I select "Rollback"?

Rollback is a file level function.

To go back on a folder with a label, check out the folder, then perform a Get on the label but out to a different location. From that second location, copy the labeled files/folders into the working folder, then check in the folder and that should add that labeled version you did a Get on as the latest version.

That's what we ended up having to do.

Can we add this as a feature request for a future version? If a label has been applied on a folder level, we should be able to rollback to that label, including all children of that level.

Sure thing. I'll get that added as a request. Thanks.
