Hello. We are using your product for almost 4 years now and so far it has been a great experience. But today we ran into a problem and just couldn’t figure out a solution for this. I just cannot get into the source control. I tried opening the client and this is when I found out that it’s getting stuck as soon it launches. I am attaching a screen capture of exactly what’s happening when I launch the client. I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the vault version is 3.1.6 and .NET 1.1
And the frustrating thing is its working fine on the other computer and not working on the one that I am using.
Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you.

Let's disable your splash screen for the moment so that part is skipped. Instructions for that are here: Disable the Windows Client Splash Screen
Have you had any updates on your computer lately?
Had you considered an uninstall and reinstall? If disabling the splash screen doesn't help, I'd suggest trying this.

Thanks Beth for the reply. I disabled the splash screen and nothing happens when I load it. I just dont see the splash screen now. I go to File and and the only thing thats not greyed out is Connect to Server. I click it and nothing happens.
I did uninstall and reinstall like 5 times yesterday. Booted my computer also at all times.
I noticed that I have .NET 2.0 on my system as well which I think was recently installed. I am suspecting that this probably is causing it to hang up. As of now the problem still remains.

Vault 3.1.6 shouldn't have a problem with the 2.0 .NET framework. Do you have 3.0 installed there too?
Are there any errors in your Event Viewer logs under either application or system?
Can you send me an email at support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this thread so I can take a closer look?
