The destination mailbox is also in csd-data-server.

Settings for email notification:
Global Options:
(tick)Send email on activity for items in all projects
Send notifications for:Items assigned to me

C12-001-001(Flash) Options
(tick)Send email on activity for items in the C12-001-001(Flash) project
Send notifications for:Items assigned to me

For a temporary test:

1) Try setting the admin account to use the email account - admin@csd-data-server

2) Next change admin's project's email setttings for "Send notifications" to ALL ITEMS.

3) Make a modification to an item in that project

4) Check the mail on your local POP3 / SMTP server for the admin@csd-data-server mail box.

Still no mail? If there were no errors recorded in the log, it seems the message was successfully passed to the SMTP server.

Perhaps we should try to trouble shoot this from the SMTP side of things. Is there any documentation you can find about your SMTP server in regards to logging? Anything in the event viewer? If it is IIS' SMTP server, you can enable logging in the properties for the SMTP server.

Ok. It works now. But with rather strange setting. It only works with checking :-
Send email on activity for items in the C12-001-001(Flash) project
Send notifications for:All items

It doesn't work with the setting : Items assigned to me.

Our problem with Vault email delivery was due to McAfee blocking outgoing communication to other hosts on port 25 (its "Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail" option was enabled).

For any added / modified bug, who is the assigned user? When configured to "assigned to me", that login will only receive an email notification when an item is actually assigned to that specific user.

Hi,

Just need some confirmation. When you set a user (let say UserA) with the option :Items assigned to me at the Global Setting, and UserA login to modify the item (which is assigned to UserA), will UserA receive an email notification as well ?

Yes.

Any change made to an item assigned to a user will receive email notification of the edit regardless of the user who is making the modification. The key is the item's assignee field.
