File size / # files

Is there a maximum file size that can be checked into VSS via SourceOffSite and is there also a maximum number of files that can be checked in/out at a single time? System keeps hanging.

I don't think we've ever tested for maximum file size -- I've uploaded a 100 MB file, though it took some time.

Usually the problem with a large get is not the number of files, but something on the network that is closing the connection. For instance a firewall might close the connection after a certain period of time or data has passed.

Check this KB article to see if you're experiencing a concurrency crash:

Also check the log.txt file in the SOS Server directory at the time of the hang to see if there's any useful information.
