Bug? Undo checkout did not undo!

Post by neal007 » Wed Feb 25, 2004 2:01 pm

I opened my project to tinker with the UI for a little bit. After 10 minutes, decided to leave it as it was so I just right-clicked in the VS.NET 2003 Proj Exp and selected Undo-Checkout on the form. My form did not restore to the prior state, so I closed and reopened the project, still, it did not restore.

I've seen this twice now. The first time I wasn't sure if it was something I did, the second time doesn't make sense. Not using anything be integration within VS.NET 2003. Using 2.0 of Vault (single-user free license).

There is an option for undo to leave the file or revert it. Vault by default leaves the file alone, so you need to set it to revert the file back to what it was before you checked it out. In the VS.Net Undo checkout dialog, go to the top left and click on advanced options - you can set it from there.

Thanks! I went into VS.NET's options for the SCC and clicked advanced and set Vault to REVERT instead of LEAVE as well. It's reverted now! whew! :)

Thanks again!
