A group of users of our Vault service have stood up a new VDI. I advised them to open port 1433 to allow them to connect to the vault server.
They installed the correct Vault client on the VDI, but when they try to log into the server they get:
Unable to connect to {our servername} ... No server was found at the specified URL.
I had them telnet to port 1433 on the server - and it works.
Is there another port that needs to be opened to connect from the VDI to the Vault server service?

Re: VDI cannot connect to Vault server
The vault service is running. This isn't the issue.
The issues is:
We have Vault running on Server A - no issue
A group has set up a new VDI. This VDI has vault client v10 installed. Port 1433 was opened to allow connectivity from the VDI to the SQL Server instance on Server A.
When they launch and try to log into vault using the client on the VDI, they are unable to connect.
I suspect TCP port 3389 needs to be opened, but I want to confirm if that is the case.
Thanks.

Re: VDI cannot connect to Vault server
Hello again,
We are a bit confused and would like to know more. Is the problem in regards to connecting the Vault client to the Vault server (IIS server) or is it in the connection of the Vault server to SQL server?
If the problem lies within the SQL Server connection, please email your Vault Server log to support@sourcegear.com.
Thanks,
Tonya
