Version labels????

Post by Simon Jeffs » Tue Feb 24, 2004 10:00 am

We just upgraded from v1.2.3 to v2 and I think the way labels works has changed.

I the first version I could select a directory and apply a label to it say 'Dev release 1.0' so I could come back to it. A 'directory' would be created named as per the label name. If I then need to go back to make a change in the old version, all I need to do is create branch at that point.

However in v2 when I perform the same task for the next development release 'create label' does not appear to work in the same way.

Could someone tell me if they think this area has changed, or whether it's as simple as doing something differently in the new version.

Many thanks.

I know what I did...

I created a snapshot of the vX.X dev and then labelled that.

Create Snapshot creates the white directory folder.

Sorry.... we haven't been using for too long.... :D

Yes, our label implemenation changed for 2.0. They are now called "snapshots", as you figured out...
