Hello,
I found a couple times when merging folders that I missed changes. I realized later that I was using the "include past 7 days" option when retrieving changes. I typically merge months later into a production trunk. I'm also tasked with writing a standard approach for my company's branch and merge strategy. I think the safest bet will be to use the "since your last merge marker" option. Is there a way to set this as the default retrieval option? If not, can that be added as a feature?
Thanks,
Eric
Merge Branches - Version Retrieval Options
Re: Merge Branches - Version Retrieval Options
Hi, Eric. While Merge Branches doesn't explicitly let you set a default retrieval option, the last settings you used are saved when you complete the merge. So you should only need to choose the "Since Your Last Merge Marker" once. After that, it will be the default choice. The settings are saved on a per-user basis, so they should stay how you want them.
I hope that helps.
