TeamCity 9.1 & Vault 9.1

Post by ajj3085 » Tue May 10, 2016 6:03 pm

I use TeamCity as a build server, and it was running the latest 9.1 TeamCity release against Vault 9.0, and all was well. I then upgraded to Vault 9.1, and TeamCity can no longer connect. If I use the Java CLC I put in the TeamCity plugin/lib folder, it does connect just fine. Just the intergration with the TeamCity Vault source control plugin doesn't work.

I orginally filed a ticket with JetBrains, but they seem to indicate the issue is on the Vault side. See my ticket here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/TW-45147

Any suggestions?

Also, there's nothing in the log but a lot of logins (about every second) which are likely from the TeamCity server. Its a login immediately followed by a logout at the same time, repeating.

Did you upgrade the client on the machine running TeamCity?

What is the OS of the machine that is running TeamCity?

Yes; I upgraded the CLC client on the TeamCity server, and am able to use that to successfully connect to Vault. The TeamCity service is running on Windows Server 2012 R2, 64-bit.

Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread? I'll need to dig a bit to see what the problem might be.

Also note, feedback from customers integrating TeamCity with Vault have been more favorable when re-configuring TeamCity to run the 'bitness' of Java against the bitness of the OS.

For example, with a 64-bit OS, configuring TeamCity to use an installed, 64-bit version of Java was faster compared to TeamCity with the 32-bit version of Java.
