Hiding files from Pending Change Set

Post by Erik@PDC » Thu Mar 23, 2017 2:43 am

Hello! Is there an option to hide specific files from a pending change set?

I'm working in part of a large group project, and there are a few files which we each need to have specialized per machine. Unfortunately, this means that we always have several .ini files always pending in CVS mode or renegades otherwise. The base file should not be deleted from the project, and it is getting a bit annoying to always deselect the same file. Any tips?

Is this in Visual Studio? If so, which version and are you using the Vault Classic Client or Vault Enhance Client?

Once the file is in Vault, you should be able to right-click it in the solution explorer and select Exclude from Source Control.

If you need it in Vault, then there isn't a way to have Vault not see when it changed.

Thanks for the reply, Beth!

It's in Visual Prolog -- though as far as I'm aware, there is no automatic integration.

The file unfortunately does need to be present in Vault. Just figured I'd check and see if it was possible to hide it locally.

Issue is resolved.
