Item Tracking errors in VS2010
Hi,
I'm having issues with Vault Pro Client 5.1.1 item tracking in Visual Studio 2010. When I attempt to open a work items or add a work item Visual Studio crashes. This does not happen in VS2008.
In the Vault Pro Work Items window if I right click a project and choose Add Item I get a dialog with the following:
"Could not load file or assembly 'Dragnetlib, Version=5.1.1.192216 Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=14a8075ce88af4e0 or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
If I go to My Open items and either double-click a work item to open it or right click it and choose open, Visual Studio just crashes.
I'm running on a Win 7 64-bit laptop, VS2010+SP1

If you close Visual Studio and try to use the Vault Pro client to open or add work items, does it work there? If not, what error does it give? Work items are under the View menu, Browse Work items or in the work item pane at the bottom of the client.

Yes it does work. I can open and add work items through the Vault Pro Client.
Re: Item Tracking errors in VS2010
Reproduce the problem in Visual Studio then send me copies of these logs:
The Vault Server log. It's called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.
Visual Studio Enhanced Client log (assuming you are using the Enhanced Client integration). This is called VaultVsipClient2010.txt. The log will be in your user's temp directory, %temp%.
Also send the Vaultpro.log file from %windir%\temp\SGVaultPro on the server machine.
Send the logs zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.

Mohsin,
I apologize as this item has not been responded to as the Fortress Forum is mostly for legacy users. In this case, this post should've been posted in the Vault Profesional Forum.
In any case, is there still a problem within Visual Studio 2010? Do you happen to know if the Vault Pro Toolbar is being displayed. Can you try turning off the toolbar and see if the crash no longer occurs?
