Dear Support,
Please can you let me know if Vault 9 can be configured to use encrypted communications between the application and the clients (application client and browsers).
Thank you,
Liam
Encryption with Vault 9
Re: Encryption with Vault 9
Yes, Vault supports SSL certificates. You will need to obtain a certificate from either a third party certificate authority or your own if you have one. Then install the certificate to the website and bind https to the website. Then you can use the SSL check box when you connect with a Vault client, or https when using the web client.

Re: Encryption with Vault 9
The Vault admin can configure each user to either have a Vault login or use the AD login. To set up AD login, the admin needs to add the domain to the Advanced Settings in the admin web page. Then add each user's AD login and set the user to use AD authentication.

Re: Encryption with Vault 9
Thank you for the prompt reply Beth.
Going off tangent here from my OP however, I have another question. My IT department wants to use separate servers for the application (Vault) and database (SQL). Can this be done?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Encryption with Vault 9
Yes. you can have the SQL Server on a separate machine. You will want to read through the Server Install Guide for additional information on that configuration: http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/documen ... index.html.
