We have been using Vault Professional for the better part of year without (substantial) issues. However, we encountered this perplexing issue. One of our colleagues is attempting to check-in an entire project with many sub-folders and files.
The attached screen appears at the beginning of the check-in process with the following inconsistent information. The dialog box indicates to "Add File" for POC1_LCD.gui and POC1_LCD_LanguageTranslations.gui files but the middle pane of the client window indicates that those two files exist in the repository and the right hand pane displays the properties of POC1_LCD_LanguageTranslations.gui. So why is "Add File" status.
When OK is selected the check-in process is stopped with an error message. I can supply the exact error message verbiage if needed.
Is there an explanation of this inconsistency and can we resolve it?

Re: Erroneous "Add File" when checking in a project.
It's possible to pend an Add File multiple times in the Pending Change Set. If a previous Add was attempted and failed, the Add is left in the Pending Change Set. The user can then change whatever is needed and try again, but some will perform the entire Add action again. In that case, the second Add action is committed, and the original Add action is still hanging around in the Pending Change Set.
The solution is to go through the Pending Change Set and undo those unneeded Add actions.
