Issues with setting rights or using a custom account

Later versions of the Windows operating system do not automatically allow a user to perform installations with administrative level privileges, even when responding to the UAC.

Here are a few steps to assist with rights elevation and set up an additional log as well.

• 1) Download the Vault server installer and place in a folder where you can make a file.
  
  2) Run a command prompt as administrator. Right-click your command-prompt icon, then select Run as Administrator.
  
  3) Change directories to the directory where the Vault installer resides by using the cd command.
  
  4) Run the following command in your command prompt replacing "vault_installer_name" with the actual installer name:

  msiexec /i vault_installer_name.msi /l MSIlog.txt

  5) The installer will start. You can install and then close the command prompt when finished.
