How to Shelve Changes

Post by lchung » Wed Feb 25, 2015 10:09 pm

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Vault 8.0.1 and I am on Windows 7 professional.

I selected few files/changes and used context menu to create shelveset. Then I go to menu View > View Shelved Changes, I cannot see any shelveset in there. Could you give me a hand with this feature? Thank you.

This is my settings (I don't check out files before making any changes):

I ran some tests on this and have been able to reproduce the issue you see just once, but after that it worked for me.

In your Vault, change your working mode to VSS Mode. In some other area, or a test repository, or in some newly added test files, perform a Get with Overwrite. Then check out a file or two and make edits. Make a shelveset. If that one succeeds, then you can return to CVS mode and try with your original files again. Then let me know your results.

If that doesn't work, then could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?

Hi Beth,

It does work! Thanks a lot for your help. The shelve functionality is pretty cool. :)
