System: Linux (Red Hat)
Connection via Windows CLC over Samba
Scenario:
In the development area I create a script, add it to the repository and promote it via CLC to PRODServer. Later we decide the script is no longer needed. I select the file in the GUI, right click, select DELETE and check the option to "Delete file from working folder". This removes the file from the development environment.
Problem: The file still exists on PRODServer. The deletion did not cascade to the PRODServer. I want Vault to delete all copies of that script in all servers it promotes to.
For auditing purposes, only the vault user can write to the PRODServer. So those files will remain on the filesystem forever unless vault can delete them. I don't want my great grandchildren to see my sloppy coding 40 years from now - so can you help me out?

DELETE Promoted Files on multiple servers
Thanks!

Re: DELETE Promoted Files on multiple servers
In order for the delete to happen on the production server, one needs to perform a Get on the production server and use the -performdeletions switch. See the documentation on Get: http://download-us.sourcegear.com/misc/ ... lc.htm#GET.
