Classic client not available in Visual C++ 6.0

Post by Carl » Wed Jun 25, 2014 11:39 am

Vault Standard 7.1 worked fine but after upgrading to Pro 7.2 I have not succeeded in integrating it with Visual C++ 6.0. VC++ does not seem recognize that any source control providers exist because when I open Tools -> Options the source control tab does not appear. I've checked the usual registry keys and they all seem OK. Ideas?

Thanks,
Carl

There are two ways to perform the integration. Check out the KB article here, http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... 13&t=15034, for instructions. Even though the instructions are for VB, they are mostly the same fir VC++.

Doh! I forgot the check box for "Make Vault your default SCC provider." That seems to have fixed my Win 7/32 installation. Win7/64 still being difficult ... already tried the article you referenced but I'll double check everything.

Thanks, Beth.

OK got it. For some reason in Win 64 the SourceCodeControlProvider\ProviderRegKey value had been left at Software\SourceGear\Vault Client. I changed it to "VaultPro Client" and I'm good.

Thanks again,
Carl
