Visual Studio 2012 warning when checking in or out

I am getting the warning "Some reload or shell operations were canceled or caused errors. You should close and reopen the solution before ...". I only get this error when the .xaml file is open and displayed. If the designer is closed so only the .vb code is displayed i do not get the error. I am using Vault version 5.1.2.19281
