Vault Client Freezes if server not available

Hi,

I am currently trialling Vault Pro, and noticed that if I open the Vault Client software and try to login to the server, and the server is not available, the Vault Client software hangs and you have to end the task in Task Manager to close it.

Should this not just timeout after a few seconds? I am running version 7.1.0.

There should be an error if the Vault Server can't be contacted. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for the client to give up. If you wait several minutes, does the client still hang?

Hi, yes it does timeout after around 45s, I just got impatient as I knew the server was off at the time...

The client usually returns an error right away if you've put in malformed connection info or other incorrect information.

But when the client connects to a server it's connected to before, it takes a bit longer before it errors out.
