VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
Hi
I found that, VaultNotifyApp is using 800-900MB memory all the time.
May I know if it is normal? Why does it require so much memory?
Thank you

I've checked my test server and can't see evidence of that. Can you show me a screenshot of what you see that shows it using that amount of memory?
Are you looking inside the Worker Processes in IIS Manager or at a process in your Task Manager?
Here our process uses about 350.
This can vary by the number of users logged in and the amount of notifications happening.

i restarted the server yesterday, and now the memory is as attached screenshot.
My company has 26 developers, not all of them configure email alert. I also so feel weird why it took up so much memory.
Please advice. thank you

Can you tell me how many users you have and how large your Vault databases are? The ones I'm interested in are sgvault.mdf, sgvault_log.ldf, sgnotify.mdf, and sgnotify_log.ldf.
Do all users use notifications?
How many check-ins do you think you have daily?

Re: VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
We have 25 users, will log in to Vault daily. Not everyone use notification, I think less than 10 users. # of check in is vary. But have big change to our code, a bit frequent. We have 175 check in yesterday, 50 check ins in Thursday.Beth wrote:Can you tell me how many users you have and how large your Vault databases are? Please find the attachment for the db size.
Re: VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
The sgnotify_log is larger than the sgnotify.mdf. Does the sgnotify database get backed up regularly?
It looks so far like you have a fairly active notifications, which might explain why yours was using more memory.
Does the memory then return back to using 800-900 mb, or has it stayed lower now?

No, we do not backup sgnotify. Might schedule to do so later.

It's been decided to log a bug and investigate this further internally.
