Folder export error

Post by camstobbe » Mon Oct 21, 2013 3:18 pm

Using Vault Standard Folder Export Import v6.1.0 (531).

I am trying to export the "$/pubroot/InfoTool" folder. It contains only 2 files: infoTool.php and infoToolUpdater.php. When I try to export, I get this error:
Folder Export: Failed to update the Repository Tree with the reverse delta. Tx: 56690 on 2013/08/08 8:43:09 PM
Change Set Items (Modified File) $/pubroot/InfoTool/infoTool.php. Exception duplicate file common%(216939) found in $/pubroot/contracts/reslease_RA at VaultClientOperationsLib.VaultClientFolder.ApplyFolderDeltaFileInfoToFileList(VaultFolderDelta fd, Int64 nOldFolderObjVerID, Int64 nNewFolderObjVerID, ArrayList& deletedObjects, ArrayList& addedObjects, TreeCache& treeCache, Object objItemData)
Below that message is a call stack which I did not include here.

I don't understand the error message. I am not exporting "$/pubroot/contracts/reslease_RA" so why is that folder part of the error message? It looks like it's complaining about a duplicate file called "common" but I don't see such a file. The repository contains at least one folder named "common" but no files.

Are you exporting deleted items as well? It could be deleted items that it's running into issues with. Try exporting without deleted items.

When I retry now, I'm getting a different error:
An exception was encountered trying to synchronize the repository to the last known transaction of this folder. The export cannot continue. duplicate file rdtassigncontract_free_basic.htm(210805) found in $/pubroot/canada
Checking or unchecking the deleted items option has no effect on the error message.

Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?

Could you also include your Vault server log (%windir%\temp\sgvault\sgvault.log) from the Vault server and your Vault Export log from the machine you are using to export(%temp%/VaultFolderExportImport.txt)?

Thank you for your willingness to investigate, but we have decided to drop the issue. Rather than troubleshooting the export from one repository and import to another, it will be faster and less work to delete and add. We will lose history but that will be acceptable.

Hello Beth,

I am seeing the same problem:

Folder Export: Failed to update the Repository Tree with the rreverse delta. Tx:5737 on 16/07/2013 15:58:51 ...

The vault log at the time has this:

----30/10/2013 09:28:27 John.Gardner--WS0731(10.1.9.2)--SSL Disabled (a7f6d01e-ed3e-4d54-88f9-aad1d0f6867c) BeginTx returned: FailObjPathInvalid

(It also has a number of other exceptions from the previous day.)

Can you advise please?

LPFA:

1) What version of Vault are you using?

2) Have you tried exporting without deleted items?

3) Do you have any obliterates in your repository? By that I mean have you or your admin ever used the Obliterate function that is found in the Vault admin web page? If you're not sure, then I'll send instructions on how to find out.

Vault version is Souregear Vauilt Standard Vesion 6.10. (531).

I tried exporting without deleted items. I get the same erorr.

I am the admin for Vault and am not aware of obliterates or having used the obliterates function (nor is anyone else at LPFA).

Can you send me the instructions please>?

I'll have you first check history.

Click on $, then perform the action Show History. When the options window comes up, go to the Actions tab. Uncheck everything except for the Obliterate action. Then click OK. Do you have any results?

If you don't have any obliterate results, could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
