All the developers here maintain a local Web.Config that is intentionally Renegade.
I.e. we checked out the file, made a change and then did Undo Checkout with Leave option.
On my machine, each time I modify my web.config, it automatically checks it out. I need it not to do that.
It doesn't do this for anyone else. Why am I special?

If you change the properties of that web.config to be writable, then it should no longer automatically check out.
