Problem after database move
Hi,
Using Vault Standard Version 5.1.1.19215. Moved DB via backup and restore. Followed guidelines in post #3136 to change passwords after a DB move, but I get this error:

Re: Problem after database move
Are you using SQL authentication or Windows authentication for the SQL Server connection? Is that the same as it was before?
A fast way to get up and running would be to uninstall Vault, choose the option to keep the database and then install Vault again, but choose the option to reuse the database again.

Re: Problem after database move
I believe that we are using SQL authentication there were specific user for "sgvaultuser" and "sourcegear". That said, I used my AD domain account to access thru the client.
As far as un/re install goes, I don't have the original installation package. Is a compatible version(5.1.1.19215) available?
Art.

Re: Problem after database move
I'm not sure what to install. I only see Vault Client installations in the "Control Panel/Programs and Features" screen.
We have two "Servers" involved:
(1) SQL server with SGMASTER and SGVAULT databases
(2) a web server with three sites SgDav, VaultService and VaultShadowFolder.
Not sure where to start the un/install.

Re: Problem after database move
Prior to starting, make sure you have a current backup of your sgvault and sgmaster databases.
You'll uninstall Vault from the web server. If you don't see the Vault server there, then you might need to do a manual uninstall. If that's the case, then send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread, and we'll set up a meeting for me to help you with that.
During the uninstall you will be given the option to keep your database. Make sure you choose the option to keep your database.
For your installers, if you don't have them already, here are links to help.
