Email notifications for shelving operations?

Post by rsboe » Sat Jun 22, 2013 12:22 pm

Can't see an option for this, it would be useful for my team if we could be alerted as to who had shelved files without having to explicitly look through the shelvesets.

This is the first time we've had a request for this. I will log a feature request.

I've logged feature request 17059 for notifications upon Shelve Set event.

Note: you can see Shelvesets listed in the Vault Web Client.

Login with this URL:
http://yourvaultservername/VaultService ... login.aspx

Click on the Source Control tab, and select a repository from the dropdown. Then click the Shelvesets link next to the repository name.

Yes, thanks, I know about viewing them in the web client - I was looking for a more pro-active method for alerting people that a file has been shelved. Typically a shelved file is more at risk of more conflicts (unless the developer keeps it checked out) so some kind of flag against shelved files in the GUI would also be very handy.
