SQL Server Management Studio 2012 Prompts for Login and Repo
Hi,
I tried searching first.
I just upgraded my SQL Server Management Studio from 2008 to 2012. Under 2008, when I started the application, it would automatically login to Vault and connect to the default repository. Under 2012, it does not.
I only have one profile set up, and I only have one repository. I have a default repository selected, and I have "Automatically choose this repository" checked.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with:
Vault Standard version 6.1.0.531 pointing to a SQL Server 2005 database, and
SQL Server Management Studio 2012 version 11.0.3128.0.
In SSMS, I have Sourcegear Vault Standard Classic Client selected because that is the only choice. (Even though Sourcegear was installed after SSMS 2012).
Also note, in Visual Studio 2010 (which is the same engine as SSMS 2012), the vault plugin works perfectly. The plugin also worked as expected in SSMS 2005 and SSMS 2008.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will try to reproduce the issue first. I'll post back when I see what SQL 2012 does with this.

Re: SQL Server Management Studio 2012 Prompts for Login and
Are you saying you don't get a login screen at all?
I am unable to create a scenario where you don't get the login screen at all.
How were you accessing the project in SSMS 2008?

This is normal. The Vault Enchanced Client is for Visual Studio 2005 and later only.In SSMS, I have Sourcegear Vault Standard Classic Client selected because that is the only choice. (Even though Sourcegear was installed after SSMS 2012).

Re: SQL Server Management Studio 2012 Prompts for Login and
In SSMS 2005 and 2008, I do not get a login screen. It just automatically selects my default profile, repository, and connects. This is the desired behavior.
In SSMS 2012, I have to select the profile (or login), then select the repository. This is not the desired behavior, especially since I only have one profile and one repository.

Did you set up a profile in Vault and choose the option to "Automatically choose repository?"
