Report on item tracking

Is it possible to produce a report from Vault Professional on the status of all work items for all item tracking projects?

Vault 6.1 has a new "Save Items" feature which allows you to save query results as a tab-delimited file. It doesn't yet work for query results across all projects, but you can run a query on each project and combine them later.

Configure your query, then in the Action Bar at the bottom of the query results, click Save Items. You can choose Save All Items or Save Selected items.

Then you can use the resulting file in a spreadsheet program like Excel.

In Vault Pro 6.1 is there any way to get a report that shows the description and the checked in comments so that I can export it and send the information to my client?

There no built in report for this, but I sent you a SQL Query that can retrieve the information you need. You can use the info to create a report with a spreadsheet app.
