We've seen this error one other time. The Null was caused by pending deletes. Not sure if the error you're getting has the same cause.
We'd like to see a copy of the Vault Server log that covers the time of the error. It's called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.
Are you using Eclipse on Windows, or another OS?
