Just upgraded from 5.1 to 6 Standard, and from Visual Studio 2010 to 2012. Notice that unlike the previous configuration, when I begin to edit any file, it doesn't automatically check that file out. I've tried this on both markup and code behind files.
Under Tools, Options I have selected SourceGear Vault Standard Visual Studio Enhanced Client as my plug-in, and under Integration Options When Check out is required, on edit: Automatically Check Out.
Also, under Advanced Options, I set Concurrent Development Style to VSS style.
Is there something I'm missing or possibly something isn't installed properly?

In the Concurrent Development Style, are your files set to read-only and do you have the 'require check out before check in set'? Could you post a screenshot of that page?
In what order did you perform your upgrades? Did you install Vault 6.0 after VS 2012?

It was the read-only attribute of the files. Once I set that, it's working properly.
